Workshops
We hold workshops 1-3 times a week. You can see our upcoming workshops on our Facebook page. Materials do need to be brought to the workshop I order to complete the crafts. You can always purchase materials in our store prior to the workshop though. The workshops are available for beginners and more experienced crafters, we work with everyone to ensure they can complete the project at their own pace. We have a number of artisans and skilled crafters come in to help teach and educate the community about fiber arts.
Kittens Club
We host the Kittens Club every Monday from 2-3pm for crafters to bring in their projects and work on them with other creative individuals. It is open to everyone. It began one of our staff members, Lacy was talking to the owners about trying find a group to crochet with. Catarina realized there weren't any public spaces I town that held gatherings for crafters and the decided to start one. The meetings are affectionally called the Kittens Club and our mascot, Mittens oversees all meetings.
Yarn Finder
We know how frustrating it can be to start a project only to realize you don't have enough material or you need to switch it halfway through. In that case you can fill out our "yarn-finder" form and we'll do our best to try and get what you need. If we can't we are more than happy to help you find a substitute or point you in the direction of someone who may have it. We also go through a seasonal rotation of workshops and specialty yarns which you can stay updated on by subscribing to our newsletter.
Parties
If you're hoping to hold an event in our store, no matter the reason we are happy to help and accommodate you. Whether you're looking for somewhere to catch up with old friends and create or hoping to hold a relaxing shower, or perhaps you're looking for somewhere to have a crafty birthday party you can't go wrong at Knittin' Kittens. You can email us if you would like to inquire about available dates but we only take bookings over the phone. Our workshop studio is available to rent for a small fee, although we do ask that you refrain from having food or drink near the loom and other machinery. We can also give you a discount on materials needed for your party if you book at least a week in advance.
